Want to know what to wear this Fall for your family portraits? Here is the next installment in my "Fall Look" Series!
Grey and mustard yellow compliment each other so well and will match the Fall foliage. Pair it with denim for a casual and relaxed look.
All of these options came from Target or Old Navy.
If you want to see other options, see my other two posts here.. Fall Look #1 or Fall Look #2.
General rules for what to wear can be found here.

Fall Look Guide #1 | Chattanooga Family Photographer
It's that time again! Time for Fall family portraits! And then comes the ever daunting task of figuring out what to wear, what color scheme to use and who wears what.
Don't sweat it, I've put together several guides to help you gather ideas. Best of all, these ideas come from budget friendly stores, like Target and Old Navy.....and maybe the occasional JCPenney.
Here's some basic guidelines to keep in mind.
1. Keep prints, stripes, plaids limited to one person and coordinate everyone else to compliment the print.
2. Coordinate, don't match. Avoid having everybody wear all white shirts and khakis or jeans. Compliment each other instead of matching.
3. Accessorize and layer. Scarves, jackets, head bands, tights and hats are all great ways to add personality to your images.
4. Wear something you're comfortable in. Short skirts, for example, can make for awkward posing when sitting. Don't wear heels unless you can totally rock them in the grass and walking between locations.
5. Dress for your surroundings. This means keep formal wear to formal settings. No need for a formal dress in a hay field and no need for cowboy boots in a formal setting.
So, without further ado. Here's Fall Look #1!
Mom's dress, boots and accessories from Target.
Little girl's jacket, shirt and shoes from Target. Girl's pants from Old Navy.
Dad's and boy's outfit from Target.

Why Use a Professional Printer and Recommendation: Chattanooga, TN Photographer
There is much debate in the photography world about putting the printing of our works of art in the hands of our clients. It is widely thought that some clients just don't understand the importance of a quality printer, either at the professional or consumer level, and we should never offer a disc to clients and only offer prints and products.
I choose to offer a disc of digital images to my clients because that's what I would want. I am my ideal client. A busy stay at home mom, who barely has time for a session, much less viewing, ordering and picking up an order. When I look for a photographer, I want someone who offers digital images and who fits within my budget. So that's what I strive to be. I love the convenience of digitals!
With that said, I cringe inside when I hear people getting professional photos printed at Walmart. There are better and in some cases (Walgreens) cheaper options, so why not blog about it.
First, here is an example image of the difference between a professional and local printer.
The above photo provided with permission from www.misszphotography.com. Thank you so much for allowing me to use your image!
That's a crazy difference, right?! So now that you see the difference and what local print labs can do to a photo, let me tell you who I recommend...and their pricing!
I highly recommend www.mpix.com. They are a consumer print lab that prints at professional quality. You do not have to be a photographer to use this company! Not only do they have professional quality, they offer competitive prices to the local supercenters and pharmacies.
For example:
MPIX Walmart Walgreens
1hr/Delivery
4x6: $0.29 $0.19/0.09 $0.20
5x7: $1.09 $1.47/0.58 $2.49
8x10: $2.09 $2.84 $3.99
11x14: $7.49 $5.89 $10.99
16:20: $16.99 $12.86 $15.99
20x30: $26.99 $18.86 $23.99
So why are you still using your local lab? You paid for a quality product, now use a quality printer!
Stay tuned.....
Since Christmas is just around the corner, I'll be talking about greeting card printing and your options here soon! Also on the blogging block, canvas options!

Baby Girl Newborn Session | Chattanooga Newborn Photographer
With three boys of my own, having a newborn baby girl session just makes my heart sing. I live vicariously through that family for just a fraction of time and it usually hold my baby girl fever over until the girl session comes around. This family was no exception.
Welcome to the big world, beautiful.
3 Month Session | Chattanooga Baby Photographer
I did this beauty's newborn portraits just 3 months ago! My how time flies! I can't believe how much she has grown and changed in just that short amount of time. Momma and Daddy better watch out!
M Family Session | North Georgia Family Photographer
What a happy family this is. Their smiles were infectious and I could not get enough of the littles! I hope you enjoyed your session and your family abroad did as well. Best wishes!
Welcome to the World! | Chattanooga Newborn Photographer
Newborns are a passion of mine. It definitely takes an art to soothe a newborn and get all their little fingers and toes in just the right position while keeping them asleep.
After three babies of my own, I'd say I've mastered that!
Welcome to the big world, Baby E.

Happy 1st Birthday! | North GA Child Photographer
First birthdays are always so special, but especially for this little man. He's gone through what most of us could never dream. He's one tough cookie and a cutie to boot! I hope you enjoyed your first birthday, handsome!

:: {S} :: Chattanooga Child Photographer
It was colddddddd the day we did "S" shoot and he was not going to sit still! But that's okay, I managed to get him on the run. He loved his little green wagon and his hat was adorable!
Here's a little peek from his shoot.

Chaz is my nephew and is leaving for China soon to study abroad for a semester, so we wanted to get some photos of him and his sweetheart before he left.
Here's a little peek at their session.

::Tacarra and Craig:: Chattanooga Engagement Photographer
Tacarra and Craig were the sweetest couple who got engaged this Fall. Of course the wedding planning is full force and we wanted to get the Engagement Session in with the Fall colors and before it got too cold! We did their session around Walnut Street Bridge, Coolidge and Renaissance Park in downtown Chattanooga.
Here's a little peek at how their session went.
